What an amazing baby! We started the day at the Latham’s wonderful home excited to meet Eli for the first time. We started in his crib and captured him right before waking up to start his session. Justin, Eli’s dad, is a firefighter and wanted some pictures of him in some of his gear. What a great theme for a 1 month session. The images turned our great and we even managed to mix in some great ring and feet detail shots. Finally we tired Eli out and we set up on last scene to prepare for the upcoming football season! What a cute baby! We are so glad to share this experience with the Latham Family, one of our first wedding couples.

What an amazing session! Sydney decided to surprise Morgan with a special session to celebrate their anniversary. They wanted to have some pictures taken at Samford University where Morgan attended college. We surprised them with a lovely picnic to celebrate! During the day we sat them down and asked them a few questions about their relationship which we turned into a short segment to be posted soon. We really enjoyed this session and we hope you do too.

Seth is this adorable in person.  We watched him sneak a smooch on the cheek and a phone number from a cute blonde during our presentation.

Never a dull moment with the guys of The Finishing Maneuver, Birmingham’s anticipated post PPV wrestling radio show.

If you are a wrestling fan you are not going to want to miss it!

Being the Champion belt holder in my family’s backyard wrestling brawls contributes to my love for wrestling, but within minutes of meeting these guys and witnessing firsthand their enthusiasm, knowledge, and love for the sport has me anxiously awaiting their debut!

Aaron “AD” Daniel, the master of ceremonies, shares what to expect from the show in a few words below.

My panel and I will be discussing the fallout of the given pay per view that we have just watched. We’ll give creative thoughts as well as keep the show enjoyable for the younger audience that immerses themselves into the drama that unfolds. For the most part, we’ll stick to WWE but from time to time, I’m sure we’ll bring up other companies like TNA and ROH. That’s just natural for us. We want to appeal to the most people we can, so we’ll try to appease both the hardcore insider junkie and the casual fan. I love to throw out wrestling history, so I’m sure you’ll hear me say things that the younger audience or non-hardcore fans will not know, but it’ll be a lot of fun and hopefully those fans will learn something. As a matter of fact, knowing your wrestling history could pay off because there will be times, maybe even each show where we have a trivia contest of some sort to win a spot on a guest list to be at Fox and Hound for the next pay per view event. More details to come when we know more.

My panel will include first my best friend and co-host at Jefferson State Community College for two years “Hollywood” Joe Burgett. I never wanted to do this show without Joe. He has a great affinity for wrestling and he’s the easiest to talk about it with for me. He once was a writer for Bleacher Report in the wrestling section and was very well respected by other writers. I love the man and am glad to have him on board. Next is Lee Mann aka “Leviathan”. When you see this guy, you’ll know why he has that nickname. I’ll probably stick to calling him Lee, but it’s good that he has “Leviathan” to use considering the fact we’re doing a wrestling show. Always want the personality to come out. Last, but not least I knew we needed a guy that has had considerable experience in pro wrestling. While I myself was in and out of the business as a commentator, referee, and manager for about two years, this guy has been wrestling for around five years now. He’s been a pleasure to know since I met him in 2007. Last, but not least I knew we needed a guy that has had considerable experience in pro wrestling. Originally, we were going to have Ace Haven on as the fourth member of the panel, however we had to make a necessary change. Now, while I myself was in and out of the business as a commentator, referee, and manager for about two years, this guy has been wrestling for over four years now. I’ve known him since 2007 and he’s a guy I always enjoy watching wrestling tapes with. He’s a true student of the game. The fourth member of The Finishing Maneuver is “The Angel of Death” John Rare. It will be very interesting to see how John contributes to the show.

Well, let’s see. I’m a student at UAB majoring in Broadcasting. I already have an Associates Degree from Jefferson State in Production and Broadcasting. I currently work for Cox Media Group’s Birmingham market. I work as a producer and call screener for various shows on WZNN 97.3 The Zone. I also help produce a new show called Black Jacket Radio with J. Willoughby that airs on WBPT 106.9 The Eagle Sunday mornings from 8 to 10. Outside of school and work, obviously I love to watch wrestling. I normally watch WWE RAW and Ring of Honor. I also like to try to watch Chikara’s Podcast-a-Go-Go on Youtube. My favorite all-time wrestler by the way is Bret Hart. I’ve always preferred the technical submission style in pro wrestling. I am a huge sports fan in general. I love all types of different sports from the domestic favorites football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and auto racing to international sports like soccer, rugby, and Australian rules football. I would say Aussie football is my second favorite sport actually. I enjoy stand-up comedy. Some of my favorites are Lewis Black, Craig Ferguson, and Jeff Dunham. When it comes to music, I don’t confine myself to one genre. I can be listening to Breaking Benjamin at one moment, then go to The Temptations, then to Weird Al Yankovic. I love to be sarcastic, and sometimes my humor can be a little dry at times so bare with me. I’m sure I’ll tick more than a few people off as this show progresses, but I occasionally enjoy confrontation. Like I said earlier, I once worked in independent wrestling in a variety of ways. My personal favorite event was in 2009 at the Cullman Civic Center where I was manager who shall remain nameless for the sake of possibly one day reviving that persona. I’ve had a lot of fun working with guys like former TNA wrestler David Young, indy favorite Chuck Taylor, and locals like “Action” Mike Jackson, Cabana Man Dan, O’Malley, and “The Angel of Death” John Rare.

All shows will be at Fox and Hound. We’ll only be doing shows on the nights of WWE pay per views for now. Hey, it’s a start. I have to thank the people at Fox and Hound in Birmingham, especially Shawn Hungate for agreeing to provide us a great setting to do the show. Shawn’s been great to do business with and I want to thank him for putting up with me so far.

Finally, I’ll say that I look forward to bringing what I hope to make a fun, enjoyable show for a group of fans that don’t get a whole lot of say when it comes to FM talk radio. I, at one time was a member of the Ringside Roundtable on the internet radio wrestling show Beyond Ringside hosted by Eddie Layne. I enjoyed that year I got to spend hanging with some fun guys that I could just kick back with and enjoy commenting on the show. Eddie is a guy that I looked up to as a mentor when I got into wrestling in 2007 and later being a part of his show. I want to thank Eddie for taking a kid who at times should have shown more respect and tried to help me become a better on-air personality. So, for the fans out there that are tired of not being able to have their say on pro wrestling over traditional FM talk radio, this is your show. I look forward to hearing from you guys, and I hope you enjoy listening to me and my friends banter. – Aaron.

Funny thing about this band, is I worked with their rhythm guitarist at my retail job in college for 2 years. And I’ve known the Bassist Deon for awhile longer than that through our friend Derrick, whom I met at the same job. The band was great, very talented group of guys who are passionate about their music. This was a huge triumph for me because in the vein of capturing concerts, this is the most difficult kind. Metal is a genre that is loud and carries a lot of power in the sound department, which makes it harder than average to capture accurate levels.

We’re hoping this showcases our ability to provide coverage of events and concerts in a high quality fashion. The band was very happy with the product, and were very excited at the possibilities their new promo DVD would bring them in the future. We did a Christmas photo shoot with Jon, Debbie, and Anna Popinski of Birmingham, Alabama. I took the opportunity to gather some content for a Christmas themed spot during the shoot. Jon and Debbie own Graphics Wearhouse, a company specializing in clothing embroidery and graphic design. Their daughter Anna plays the Cello, and has just received her black belt.

As I cut this together, I kept expecting to see the pillsbury doughboy pop out somewhere. But, that was a crazy assumption, because they made the cookies from scratch. I had a hard time finding angles, so I found myself with a commercial looking shoot at the editing table. I still like the way it came out, just doing my part to try and spread the holiday cheer. We’re hoping to have a lot going on in 2012, another horror film, possibly a pilot or series depending on our schedule.

The variety of people and attitudes is what makes doing these projects so worthwhile. We had a hard time with the sun and the bugs that day, but the captured material made it worthwhile. We’re heading back for another one in November, but I’ve got another project to update you guys on in the next few days, keep you posted.
